Laboratory of Structural Cell Biology

Gino Cingolani My lab uses a multidisciplinary approach involving biophysical, biochemical, and cellular techniques to study protein structure and function. We are particularly interested in understanding the mechanisms of macromolecular transport.

General areas of research include nucleocytoplasmic transport, virus assembly, architecture of viral genome ejection/packaging motors.
